Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026 | Effective date: May 2026
ConvertPDF is designed to protect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and how we use the tools that support the website. The service is intended to minimise data collection and avoid server-side file handling.
1. Who We Are
ConvertPDF is a browser-based document utility available at convertpdf.pages.dev. For questions about this policy, contact us at support.convertpdf@gmail.com.
2. Local File Processing and User Privacy
All document conversion and processing in ConvertPDF occurs locally within your web browser. No file content, filenames, file metadata, or document data is uploaded to our servers or to any third party. Because of this architecture, we do not have access to the files you process with our tools.
2.1 Verification
You can verify this behaviour using your browser's developer tools. Open the Network tab and operate any tool; you should see only requests for the site assets themselves, not for your document content.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- File contents processed by the tools.
- File names or metadata from your documents.
- Personal identifiers such as name or email address unless you choose to contact us.
- Browser history, profiling data, or behavioural tracking.
- Document-level analytics events, file contents, or usage telemetry from the tools.
4. Hosting and Infrastructure
ConvertPDF is hosted using standard web infrastructure. The hosting provider may record standard server logs (IP address, URL requested, HTTP status code, timestamp) for operational and security purposes. These logs are managed by the hosting provider and are not under our direct control. No document content is included in those logs.
5. Search Monitoring and Google Search Console
ConvertPDF uses Google Search Console to monitor organic search traffic and site indexing status, and Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic such as page views, referrers, country-level location, device type, and browser family. These tools are not used to collect document contents or create advertising profiles.
6. Advertising and Cookies
ConvertPDF uses Google AdSense to display advertisements that help keep the site free. Google AdSense may set cookies on your device to serve ads. When personalised advertising is enabled, Google may use these cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
ConvertPDF does not set any first-party cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. The site may use browser local storage only to store transient tool preferences (such as last-used settings), and this data remains on your device and is not transmitted to ConvertPDF or any third party.
Beyond AdSense, we do not use Facebook Pixel or other advertising trackers. Google Analytics cookies are used only to measure aggregate traffic volume and basic site performance.
7. Third-Party Services
The website may load resources from trusted third-party providers that deliver fonts and libraries. These providers may collect request metadata in accordance with their own privacy policies.
- Google Fonts: used to load typography assets. Browsers request fonts from Google's servers when the site is loaded.
- jsDelivr / cdnjs: used to load JavaScript libraries such as PDF.js and pdf-lib.
- Google Analytics: used only for aggregate site traffic measurement.
- Google AdSense: used to serve advertisements. AdSense may set cookies; see Section 6 above.
8. Contact Communications
If you contact us by email at support.convertpdf@gmail.com, we will use your message only to respond to your inquiry. We will not add your email address to a mailing list without your explicit consent, and we will not share your contact information with third parties.
9. Children
ConvertPDF does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction. Because we do not collect personal data, there is no mechanism for storing such information. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Your Rights
In many jurisdictions, data protection laws provide rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because ConvertPDF does not collect or retain personal data about users, most of these rights are naturally satisfied. If you have emailed us and wish us to delete your correspondence, please request deletion at support.convertpdf@gmail.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes. Continued use of the website after updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
