ConvertPDF provides a suite of free, browser-based document processing tools including PDF conversion, merging, splitting, compression, encryption, and related utilities. All processing is performed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. No files are uploaded to our servers. You do not need to create an account, provide personal information, or pay to use the Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 13 years of age, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
  • You have read and understood these Terms.

You retain all ownership rights in the files you process using the Service. Since your files are processed locally, we do not receive or store them, and threfore we do not claim any rights to your content.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process any file with the Service. This includes compliance with copyright, licensing, confidentiality agreements, and other applicable obligations. ConvertPDF is not responsible for any legal consequences that arise from your use of the Service with files you are not authorised to process.

4.3 Service Ownership

The Service, including its design, code, and website content, is owned by ConvertPDF. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the proprietary elements of the Service without prior written permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your specific requirements.

  • The output files produced will be perfectly accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk. We recommend retaining original copies of any documents you process.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CONVERTPDF AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

The Service may link to third-party websites and rely on third-party tools for website delivery, such as content delivery networks and font providers. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of third-party sites or services.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms periodically by posting the revised version on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
